I want to provide cross-curricular​ center activities for my students to help them achieve their full potential in my class so that they can continue to build on the solid foundation that I help them build in 1st grade. Centers are a great way to reinforce great learning skills! Learning through centers and games, like reading games, hands-on math activities, writing boards, and STEM centers are an exciting way for my early learners to engage in their learning. I have selected a wide variety of math, language, phonics, literacy, art, reading and creative play activities for my kids to use in their centers. I selected items that can be used in a cross-curricular environment. They will be using many of these items daily during their center rotations. When students are learning and having fun at the same time, they are more likely to retain the concepts they are learning. I want to provide meaningful activities that will allow my students to engage in meaning activities and games throughout their day. Giving them a variety of activities to choose from will include keep them excited about 1st grade and look forward to what tomorrow will bring.
