Chromebooks will enhance my yearbook students' creative talents while producing a yearbook that their peers and teachers will love. We will be able to upload photos, create design pages, and send out emails on these Chromebooks and collaborate via Google Apps while brainstorming ideas for marketing, stories, and deadlines. All students want something to help them create a product they are proud of. Our current computers have been used for many years and are coming to the end of their lives. Some batteries last for ten minutes or less. We are thankful we have those computers, but when the batteries die, students' hard work might not be saved. Ultimately, my students need reliable technology to help them create a wonderful yearbook efficiently. These Chromebooks would be a great place to start.
