Being a charter school, we do not have a budget for Science equipment. After teaching many years, I have discovered that students learn better with hands-on models when dealing with the human body. Most of our students are visual and kinetic learners, and they have been struggling with the digestive system. This model of the digestive tract will allow them both forms of learning and encourage peer-to-peer instruction. Not only will this model be used in Anatomy classes, but also in Health classes. Seeing and manipulating a model is much more efficient at teaching and learning a specific objective. Also, functions of specific organs is more easily explained when they can hold it in their hands.
