Student will be writing an Argumentative Essay using the Preamble-Declaration of Human Rights and The Hate u Give identifying which human rights were violated and how others may disagree in their assessment. This project will make a difference in my students life because it will allow them to relate what they are reading to real life. Task: According to the Preamble-Declaration Of Human Rights, decide which of the main characters human rights were violated. Support your argument with evidence from the novel as well as the Preamble. Include a counter-claim that explain how others with differentiated opinions may disagree with your argument.
