I would love to make my classroom more accommodating for my students with special needs, or those who need one-on-one conferencing time/support from me, during a lesson or activity. I would like to put in a kidney-shaped table and chairs in my classroom to use as a "Connect and Support Area." If I needed to pull a student aside or a student needed to ask for help, I could assist them much better from a designated area, rather than their desk or mine. I would also like to use this area as an activities table when I need to group students together or when I do walk-through units. I want this area to be a safe and supportive space that is conducive to learning, and acknowledging of all students!
