School chairs are uncomfortable! Not all of our library books interest our students! Right now, our classroom is not welcoming for students to pick seating areas that will accommodate all learning needs and help invite students to pick up a book- or feel relaxed while doing their reading. We are in need of flexible seating areas, especially in our library, to give our students the opportunity to feel relaxed and comfortable while they are there. We also need to add popular, noteworthy titles to our library. By creating this environment, and enhancing our library, I am hoping to encourage reading within our classroom. Students enjoy sitting in beanbags, especially when they are reading, so I am encouraged that they will use either of those items to pick up their favorite title and build reading endurance.
