Some students here in Louisiana are attending an alternative school because they are expelled from the regular school system. Some students have been impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, have behavior problems, the inability to resolve conflict, and many other issues. Some students are on grade level and some are not. In addition, others deal with daily struggles of dealing with lost of parents, relatives and friends, as the rest may deal the lost of freedom within a traditional school setting.

About my class
