Classroom mailboxes will provide an individual and specific location for their work and belongings since we do not have traditional school desks in our classroom. I currently have a bin that is specifically for their folders and another bin that students place all of their completed work in throughout the day. At the end of the day, both bins need to be distributed on top of helping the students put the items in their folder. Both of which consume a lot of time. Receiving mailboxes for our classroom would provide a location to store the folders as well as a designated area for each of my students' work. This will allow for an easy pack up transition. The students will learn organizational skills, help with them becoming self-sufficient, and hold them accountable for their belongings and actions. This will save me several minutes a day, and almost an hour each week. This will establish a central location to distribute classwork, notes, and belongings at any time of the day; which saves time, clutter, and end of the day chaos.
