I would love to engage more of my students by doing some 3D art projects! Although painting and drawing are fun for a lot of students, I believe the ability to create a sculpture would appeal to some of the more reluctant students who claim "I can't draw." I plan to use the Blick Sculpture Wire to teach a lesson based on Calder's works, and have the students create their own sculpture. The Sculpture House Wood and Linoleum Carving Kit will enable them to extend their creativity into the base for the sculpture. We will be using wood blocks for the base. This project will force students to use problem solving and get creative at the same time.
