Taylor ISD is a Title I school and a majority of our population is economically disadvantaged. Our TMS Band Program wants to be sure that any and all students are able to participate in our program, no matter what their financial status. These percussion kits will help students that would not be able to afford to be in our program. These kits allow the students to not only participate in class, but also be able to practice at home. We will have them available for those that ask for financial assistance and they will be used by one student per year, but they will get it the whole year. Our percussion students audition to be part of the percussion section. We have 50+ students audition and we are only able to take a maximum of 15. We want the students that make the cut to have the tools they need, even if their families may not be able to afford them.
