Students in our Intellectually Disabled classroom work very hard to learn different skills such as requesting, learning colors, and socializing with other people. These students do not often get the chance to go into different businesses within our community and practicing skills they are being taught in the classroom. Students will be given an opportunity with this grant. This grant will fund a field trip to a local painting studio where they will be able to make a project. These students will be able to go into the community, into a local business, and request different colors or textures, and socialize with others if given this grant. This grant will allow an opportunity for these students that they may not have otherwise had.
