I am a second-grade teacher and I chose to work at a school where I am needed the most. I have found a school where these students are most in need. During a regular school year, we have 25 tablets to be shared between approximately 87 students (4-second grade classrooms) during the day. Our students are from low-income homes and currently with many parents that have lost their jobs or hours of work have been cut because of COVID. Last spring, many of our students only had their parent’s phone to access school virtual learning materials and some households with 3-5 children sharing a phone. Needless to say, student participation was low. I am asking for assistance to purchase Fire 7 tablets for two classes of 20-second grade students each. By donating to our project you are helping our students access a virtual classroom when otherwise they may not. Thank you for your consideration!
