These book tubs will enhance the current classroom library that I make available to my students. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy! Every book that is placed in my library is chosen with my students' interests in mind, and they appreciate the opportunities to read and choose books. These tubs will allow me to organize them in a way that is accessible to all of them. Students will be able to easily choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. Our current tubs are falling apart and I do not have enough to organize by topic, making it difficult to find high interest books. My students will be able to easily choose a book of interest from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level, if these new tubs are available to them. Having colorful, sturdy books tubs of various sizes will make our library an inviting place. The more students want to be in the library, the more they will read. The greatest predictor of success in reading, is reading more. If the kids can find books that interest them easily, they will read more. Please help my students become independent readers that are able to pick books that interest them. These book tubs will allow me to make my classroom more user friendly for my students.
