My 7th grade students are a great group of kids to work with. I could not have imagined a better group to start my teaching career. For the most part the students live in rural communities that focus on farming. A large portion of the students' families fall below the poverty line and many more are struggling to meet the challenges of this economy. The middle school in which I teach serves students in the 7th and 8th grade and is considered a title 1 school.
