Our school uses a computer program that helps assess children's mathematical and reading abilities. It is a wonderful program; however, headphones are mandatory. Many of my students can't afford to bring in "over the ear headphones" to school. I substitute "over the ear headphones" with my personal collection of "earbuds," but my first graders' tiny ears just don't hold those in on their own. Something as simple as well fitting headphones would really make all the difference during our computer time. My students would be able to focus on the task at hand instead of trying to hold their "ear buds" in their ears!
