By having 2 dual language classrooms, we have a variety of language learners who are learning in different ways. Some of our students can be overwhelmed by learning a new language and need to feel comfortable within our classroom. Having an array of items in our classrooms, will not only help them feel calm, but it will help them by having hands-on materials to achieve their academic success! Having calming lights in the classroom can help them feel more relaxed. We also use headphones frequently for ongoing data assessment and having audio books read to them. Having leveled books is great for them to feel a sense of accomplishment when they can master a book they have been practicing for a while. We also use a variety of writing tools, so it is great to have a variety of laminated work for them to write and practice using certain markers. Some of these materials will also be beneficial to them if they need to work from home for a period of time.
