I want to build a social/emotional classroom library for use in my own classroom and to share with classroom teachers. Teachers often share issues with me that their class is struggling with. I'd like to be able to give that teacher a book that can help. Someday I hope to have a book for every situation! These resources will give my students a way to learn how to make friends and deal with feelings through stories. So often my students are able to understand and mimic positive behaviors and social skills after being read to. When a story draws a student in, they are able to understand and learn more clearly from the examples, as opposed to when we just talk about how to implement certain skills.
