In a classroom there are 30 students and everyone doesn't learn like the other. Having the basic instructional tools throughout the year makes learning more interactive, fun, and make lessons more effective. The use of instructional materials in the teaching process is less stressful for both teacher and students. The students will do projects/activities in the classroom that will incorporate hands-on activities. Hands-on learning allows students to directly take on board and understand what is happening or how to do something. Those projects will be displayed within the hallways and inside the classroom for others to see their work. Our students enjoy to be recognized for what they can do.The goal is to develop critical thinkers and allow them to express themselves in a room of acceptance. Having a printer that does color copies is a plus. The world is not in black and white, so I want to display images that are not in black and white. Having instructional tools have resulted in a high degree of retention of the content being taught. It helps to increase active participation in the learning process while saving teacher's energy, eliminating the times of off-task behavior. Having the abundance of pencils, copy paper, or glue when most of the students can't afford it will help tremendously. I've went from 29% one year to 48% passing on the state end of year assessment last year. The list of instructional tools I chose I believe will take us to the higher percentage passing. Students everywhere should have the best education possible and this what I want to deliver to them with your help.
