My classroom is small! but there is plenty of room to hang the artwork of all my students on. The walls are full of vocabulary words and posters that display words in order to help my bilingual students visualise how use all the different words in both languages. In my classroom I am teaching my students how to have empathy for each other so that they feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. In my classroom my students are encouraged to practice speaking in front of the class and to learn the skills that they will need in order to be confident adults. My second grade students are very curious and they enjoy learning. They are learning to work as a community and help each other. One of the central themes in my classroom is based around the quote from Louis Pasteur "Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity, and is the torch which illuminates the world."
