After the Covid shutdown, all students were provided with Chromebooks for virtual instruction. However, time and use take their toll, and replacements are needed. Unfortunately, the funding for these laptops is limited and many new students are unable to get one. In addition, if a student's Chromebook is lost, stolen, or broken it is challenging to replace them. In order to support my students in completing classwork and participating, I would like to keep five Chromebooks in my classroom for students to use. I also want to ensure all of my students have access to working technology if we are out for quarantine again. They need computers in order to access their everyday learning activities as well as the Star Assessments and iReady program which we use to help close the gaps that students may have in reading and math.
