The laptops will be used in my 5th-grade math and science classes. Students will be using the laptops on a weekly basis for centers which will include math fluency practice (multi-digit multiplication problems). Students will work in groups and independently. Students will have opportunities to practice typing, conduct research for STEM-related problems, and create presentations. The laptops will significantly increase student engagement and enrich the content. The laptops will also be used for students to access simulations in both math and science using Gizmos. The students will build a deep conceptual understanding of​ math and science by way of these simulations.
