With an iPad, students will be able to not only discuss their current events verbally, but will be able to easily bring up videos or pictures or maps connected to their topic. Additionally, students will be able to use the iPad to take videos or record podcasts for our history projects. Lastly, students will be able to use the iPad to easily present projects, games, art, and other things they create to the class. There are times that our classroom computer is so slow that we miss out on extra learning opportunities that could inspire a more informed discussion or hook students' curiosity to learn more. I used my extremely small social studies budget to get the class an Apple TV to be able to stream faster and I also purchased a new speaker with my own money. An iPad will help the activities in our class run smoother and provide extra opportunities for very deserving students. Thank you in advance!
