At our school, we are fortunate enough to receive the support we need to provide technology to the students to research, write, and complete assignments in class. However, without a full time librarian, the library (where students at most schools go to print their assignments if there is no printer at home) is only open before school and at lunch as schedules allow. And our school laptops currently do not have printers available to them. This project will connect each computer to a printer in each child's English classroom.This will give each student access to a printer to complete and TURN IN their required work- making it possible for each student to have greater success. It is improtant for students to practice their writing skills on computers because in the world we live in- so much of their work and writing will be done in that medium, but students often don't get the benefit of peer-editing, or written-teacher-feedback, because they lack the ability to print it out. With this project, our school we will take a large step toward solving that problem.
