My "Star Students" love to read. Their reading ranges from non-readers to first grade levels. Many of the student are not able to read independently, however, they are eager to learn to read. Several of my students depend on older brothers and sisters to help with homework and practicing oral reading. The listening center will provide students an opportunity to listen to stories being read to them with expression and fluency. Listening to stories at the listening center with the read-along books will help increase their reading fluency as well as their listening skills.
