We have incorporated a program called The Daily Five. This researched based program is highly effective. It is comprised of 5 literacy stations. They are read to self, read to someone, listen to reading, work on writing, and word study. We will use these 2 iPads with sturdy cases and hearty headphones in all stations. We will take turns using the iPads to go to Tumble Books, an online library. I envision my class pairing up most of the time to use our iPads. We will also use these iPads for math and social living. We have Wifi and can use our iPads in any part of our school. In addition, our students are given standardized tests via computers and tablets. This will give them the added practice that they need to manipulate technology. My project will allow poverty stricken children to compete with the rest of America by exposing them to the technology that we take for granted. I would love to offer them more technology and more experiences. I feel that I can really make a difference. It is why I teach and why I research ways to make their little lives better.
