As previously stated, my students have a vast range in reading levels and for this reason we need to have books that are not only interesting to them, but range from 1st-3rd grade understanding. As teachers, we meet with our students to review, and teach many strategies to our young readers. There is a strong emphasis placed on independent reading and it remains a key resource for developing comprehension. By having the ability to access these different books, our students can fall in love with reading. All of the titles that I selected are going to help in various areas of reading and comprehension. Without any books, it becomes challenging to complete these tasks. For my project I chose popular titles that are in high demand in hopes that my students will become motivated and engaged readers.
