I chose these ten different sets of leveled reading books as the needed material resource for our classroom. Many of the books we have in our class are over 20 years old. We need appropriate and relevant leveled reading books to help students practice decoding and comprehension strategies. It has been proven that when students are reading engaging, current books at their"just right" level, they are able to practice strategies in order to grow as readers. The more my students read and understand, the more they will be able to access important information, figure out math word problems, and interact with the world through news stories.

About my class
