My neighborhood public school serves students from a diverse range of cultural and social-economic backgrounds. Some of my students have vast resources at home, while others qualify for our free or reduced school lunch program. Our Transitional Kindergarten/regular Kindergarten classrooms are a special little tribe within the larger school community. With our own building and playground adjacent to the "big school," our littlest learners have a safe and happy place to call their own as they build the foundational skills they'll need as they move up through the grades.
