I chose to select an iPad as a resource in my classroom because it is vital to my students' success. I am a first year teacher, so my supplies are very limited. I have a diverse group of eighteen first graders, all of whom have different needs. Technology can be a great tool in differentiating instruction. All first grade students are also required to take TRC and Dibels testing. In order to complete this testing successfully, I need an iPad. The TRC and DIBELS are both administered by the classroom teacher, using his/ her iPad. Having an iPad in the classroom will also go far beyond testing. Having an iPad accessible at all times throughout the day will help my students immensely. It will give them access to educational websites to use during learning centers such as- razkids, abclearning and much more. The opportunities in the classroom are endless with technology. Please help my students get the resources they deserve!
