My school is located in Arkansas. We have a free/reduced lunch rate of 82% and an ELL population of 48%. Most of our students do not have the background knowledge or resources to be successful in Science. Due to the language barrier, my students learn better with hands-on activities. I also have 14 Special Education students in my homeroom class that could really benefit from "playing Scientist" and working with their hands. They are all excited about Science and eager to discover new information!
