My students are critical thinkers who need a way to express themselves during our lessons. Students often disengage from class activities when they do not feel like they are being seen or heard or do not have resources to allow them to fully participate. Personal whiteboards, markers, and erasers will provide another way for my students to engage in our lesson and know their voice and ideas are being seen and heard by me and their fellow classmates. These resources will also help to provide a way for me to assess individual learning throughout lessons to better drive my instruction.
