Several of my students are nonverbal. All of them have communication challenges. They think in pictures. These devices will help my students to visualize what they want to say. They will aid in language acquisition, speech and overall communication. The iPad and tablets will also enable them to develop and demonstrate skills as they are learned. It is exciting to see them light up and be attentive when I am able to project a video for whole group learning activities, but we have nothing for when trying to do a small activity on an individual grade level. Learning would be a little easier in small groups with tablets.
