Chromebooks and desktop computers allow students to continue learning on an independent level. When I am done introducing lessons in class, it would be great to offer students the opportunity to revisit on their own time at their own pace. Having our own classroom LCD projector and screen would be useful as it enables me to guide lessons step by step for my students. A classroom LCD projector and screen will also give important visual support to the non-readers allowing them to see and follow along during lessons. As a class, we read stories and discuss them as a group. A Projector will also allow me a better use of the internet and its educational resources, such as Scholastic news, and BrainPOP. Students from my school district will only ever have the opportunity to use a computer when they are at school. Diverse learners benefit academically from independent work time. Also, the students look forward to their independent work time in class. Having Chromebooks provide that opportunity.
