Students will have chairs to sit and read their leveled books from their personal bins. They will be able to move away from their desks and their groups in order to stay focused. This will make it possible for them to practice reading skills and apply reading strategies taught in class. My students need to find ways to gain the confidence they need to read English. Allowing my students to choose a book and enjoy it on their own will help them gain the confidence they need to learn English. They will be able to practice fluency and comprehension by using this space to calmly enjoy their books on their own. I am looking forward to watching them succeed in their second language.
