These materials will make a huge difference in my students' second grade lives! We are needing some unique seating choices for our busy, unique students. We have traditional seating right now in our classroom and they are being tipped on and tripped over. I plan to have the seats go against the wall at the end of the day and students will pick a seat that will allow them to feel great. Flexible seating will allow them to gently rotate, bounce or flex one way or another. Using flexible seating in my classroom, students will gain an academic appreciation from making choices and having control of their space and body, greater balance and better posture for a wholesome healthier body. Research shows that students with ADHD need to have the option to have continuous smaller body movements. More than likely these children will have a longer attention span and be able to learn with more complexity.
