Dramatic play is one of the most important components of early childhood learning. In dramatic play children learn problem solving skills, social emotional skills, real world skills and just how to be a child. The "house" section in my classroom is in need of some TLC and new items. It is the favorite area of many of my students and the props are showing it. The wooden food and appliances will replace (and add too) all the old plastic toys that are currently in my kitchen. My students are all very loving mothers and fathers and my baby dolls have seen better days. I am also looking at replacing both of my baby dolls and the props that go with them.
