A listening center and books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My students are 5 years old and exposing them to literature in this way will help create a love for reading. Every book that is placed in my listening center is treated with love and care, and my students are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. Half of my students are English language learners. By having books in their language, I will be able to provide appropriate scaffolds towards English proficiency. Students will be able to listen to books, which will help grow their love for reading!!
