My students love to try new things in class. They love having the opportunity to learn in areas that are not their desks. I want them to have the opportunity to have different areas to stretch their legs and not stay in their desks. My goal is to give my students the opportunity to learn in a comfortable, and interactive environment. I do a lot of center rotations and currently only have a few bean bags that the students try to share as they do rotations. Having more options will allow more flexible centers, as well as centers where games and hands-on learning can be involved through the use of new manipulatives. My hope is to provide them with a comfortable learning environment that is not focused on desk work, but areas where they can have an opportunity to engage together and learn through hands-on manipulations.
