Students at MMS have an incredible fascination with language, learning, and diverse representation in literature. While we have a great selection of fiction books to study as a class, I would like to introduce a non-fiction book to our studies. This would allow our students to practice their skills in analysis, history, and critical thinking while providing access to a racially diverse (and historically important) text. My students also have high interest in science and technology, and studying this book promotes racial and gender diversity in STEM careers!
