My students in my Special Day Class have trouble focusing at the task at hand, due to attention disorders. Sometimes they may be unfocused on learning because their chair is uncomfortable, or their desk partner is tapping their feet loudly, or tapping their pencil. Many of my students need to fidget or move something on their body in order to give me their attention, this often happens at the expense of others around them. I want to provide flexible seating opportunities for them if they are feeling a bit more antsy than usual. I am requesting Balance Ball Chairs, Bouncy Chair Bands, and Bean Bag Chairs to give my students other opportunities to sit and not distract others. The Balance Ball Chairs will be kept at a table in the back where they can go to if they have some wiggles in their seats. Bouncy Chair Bands are awesome tools to give students who need to move their feet while sitting at their desks. And the Animal Bean Bag Chairs will be perfect for silent reading time around the classroom.
