My students always get more out of their reading when they are able to write in the books and annotate the pages. I choose to gift the book The Last Lecture to my seniors because I think it is an important book for them to read during their last year of high school. This book will be even more meaningful to them if they are able to take their own notes in the pages. I want them to be able to keep the books and use them again and again in the future as they pursue their dreams. I also want them to add their peers' ideas during our classroom seminars so that there is more depth in their understanding of the book.
