Research has shown that kids who are able to move around and fidget while working, perform better in school. By having these materials in my classroom, students would be able to improve focus and the ability to retain information. Obtaining the wobble stools, cushions, bouncy ball chairs, and kick bands will provide students the opportunity to move and fidget while completing their work. Being able to move is crucial to students at this age. Moving helps to let their energy out while improving focus. Sitting at a desk all day isn't beneficial to children at this age. By giving students the opportunity to move throughout the day, they will be encouraged to focus and complete work.
