Our book club is about opening minds and building experiences. We pair each book with a cultural experience to inspire our kids to think outside of their daily lives. Our first book of the school year is "Peter and the Starcatchers" by Dave Barrie and Ridley Pearson. For our book club, we pick titles that challenge and excite the imagination. Once the students finish the book study, we'll load the bus for a theatrical adventure to see a production of "Peter and the Starcatchers" at our local playhouse. It's a pairing of literacy and culture that enhances their overall learning experience.
