All of our students want to play instruments, sing, dance, and be creative when they are in music class. Our music room has a rug that is too small to accommodate our growing class sizes. The students do not have enough space to sit next to one another, and some are pushed to the floor instead of sitting on the rug. We use this space everyday to meet our standards. Unfortunately, improper spacing does not allow for all of the activities we need to reach our learning goals. All students in the music room deserve a safe space that they feel comfortable while learning and participating in class. With the addition of this music rug in the classroom, students will be able to use instruments, sing, dance, and make music in a space that is their own while they share with others.
