My students want to feel warmth and comfort in our classroom. Having a warm, cozy reading nook will provide a comfortable place to sit and read as well as talk and gather for group activities. I would love to be able to provide a special place in the room to encourage these meaningful interactions with books and each other. I want to provide my students with a safe, warm, designated area that will create an optimal learning experience. Gathering around a warm, large, welcoming carpet will provide an area for the students to learn new information and positively interact with each other.
