Research shows now, more than ever, that language acquisition changes everything for students from poor socioeconomic backgrounds, and because public schools are struggling with budget cuts, teachers and administrators are digging deeper than ever into our own pockets. We at this school can provide the time, space, and encouragement for the kids we teach, but we need help. If we can also acquire the books our students will read, the materials for them to improve their reading skills and language use while also offering information in areas where they have gaps, then perhaps what they read will also improve their lives overall.

About my class
