My students are awesome! They work on analyzing laws and understanding our Constitution. They ask questions that go beyond the text and want to know the consequences for each law a citizen might break. They study the dynamics of trials and put on mock trials to help them understand the process. They love reading current events and are challenged by their teacher daily. They thirst for knowledge and want to be able to use technology to find answers for themselves. I work in a Title I school in an area that has been hit hard by the downturn of our economy. My students come from all different backgrounds and speak many languages. The school is an aging school that is almost 40 years old.
