This carpet will create a warm cozy space in our classroom for students to sit comfortably and participate in guided and independent instruction during math, reading, and writing. Having a carpet will also create a space for students to stretch out and dive into a great book during Reading Workshop or work independently on​ their math work. It will also aide in fostering a community atmosphere when forming a circle around the carpet when it’s time to participate in engaging classroom discussions! Students will also utilize the carpet to work in pairs to discuss their thoughts and ideas with their elbow partners.

About my class
