Lakeshore's wobble cushions will give my students a choice in what kind of learning space works best for them, and help them to work collaboratively, communicate, and engage in critical thinking. My students will use the wobble cushions which create unstable surfaces to sit on, meaning the body has to correct itself against gravity constantly. This added need for balance encourages the postural muscles to be activated, providing small but beneficial movement to train the muscles of the lower back, core and pelvis. By providing flexible seating cushions, my students will be able to use them for reading in the classroom library, do partner work on the rugs, and the wobble cushions help my special needs students with active sitting.
