Teaching music to hundreds of children is a lofty goal. Larger schools, with more to love, require however more musical resources as well as more opportunities for students to perform. Quality and safety are also great concerns as our school embarks upon nearly 8 performances every school year.
New choral risers will enable each grade to have additional stage time for practice and performance. When kids are able to display their musical talents with their peers they are less intimidated. They sing out, clap louder, move with intent, and show undeniable love for the overall experience.
Parents, teachers and staff benefit from this advancement. By grouping concert performances by grade we reduce the actual event time and increase the music value. Entire grades will be presenting more elaborate pieces with their peers, all while experiencing the joy of music in every way. This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom but on the concert stage, and the community as well.
